How to Host an Instagram-worthy Mother’s Day brunch

Happy almost Mother’s Day! What better way to celebrate mom than throwing her a fabulous Mother’s Day brunch, with tons of Insta-worthy DIY’s and ideas, of course. Here are our best tips to throwing a brunch no one will soon forget…

  1. Flowers

Flowers are a must for any Mother’s Day brunch, but you certainly don’t have to spend a fortune. We love the idea of buying supermarket flowers at your local Trader Joe’s or farmer’s market flowers and then putting them in vases and bowls that you already own – inexpensively and chic!

2. Place Cards

When most people think about place cards, they imagine the super fancy calligraphy-style place cards most traditionally seen at weddings and other formal affairs. The thing about place cards that’s great is that there’s tons of room for creativity! Try grabbing a pretty leaf from your back yard and using a thick paint pen (shown here) from Michaels or Amazon.

3. Printable Quotes

We love Etsy for all things printable!  Depending on your taste and the theme of the brunch, if you simply type in “printable Mother’s Day quotes” you will get served up a ton of great options, most under $10. We love this one, in particular, but don’t stop there when looking.

4. Signature Cocktail

Every good party has a signature cocktail, and we especially like this frose cocktail recipe from ACoupleCooks.com. It has no refined sugar and tastes great! But if frose isn’t your thing, you can always go the tried and true mimosa route. What is mom’s favorite?

5. A Fun Activity

Since the day is about honoring mom, we love the idea of having pretty photos printed out for each guest. Maybe it’s mom when she was a child or mom and someone else celebrating a special moment. This DIY from BeSpoke-Bride.com is absolutely adorable, and you would just need to have the photos printed out (LOVE the black and white look) and then also have a glue gun and fake/fresh flowers ready to go.

6. An Insta-worthy Main Course

We think the menu should, of course, include some of mom’s favorite dishes but these MOM crepecakes will definitely steal the show at any Mother’s Day brunch.

7. A Sweet Dessert

Show mom how sweet she is and how much you appreciate her with a beautiful dessert. You can decorate a naked cake with real flowers and greenery like this cake from Sweet E’s Bakeshop.

What are some of your Mother’s Day brunch ideas?
